News: Microsoft will have Xbox announcements at Gamescom

Platform holder confirms it will have news to share at this year's show.

"Yes, Xbox will be at gamescom 2015 and we'll have news," a Microsoft representative told us this morning. "Stay tuned for more details."

Microsoft's statement follows confirmation from Sony yesterday that it would not be holding a press conference at this year's show. Instead, it will be holding back announcements for Paris Games Week in October.

"We think GC is an important conference for us," Xbox head Phil Spencer added on Twitter. "One of the biggest game shows in the world."
