In the latest issue of Game Informer, creative director Josh Holmes explained that the decision not to charge for additional multiplayer maps boiled down to not wanting to segregate the multiplayer community.
"As we started on the multiplayer experience for Halo 5, we talked a lot about the problem of dividing the player base," he said.
