The game's physical success is perhaps surprising given its problematic launch which saw the retail version arriving one month after the game was available on digital channels.
GTA 5 takes second in this week's chart, followed by FIFA 15, COD Advanced Warfare and Dragon Ball Xenoverse.
The week's only new entry is Rebellion's Zombie Army Trilogy at No.8.
