Nintendo's plans for the two games were revealed during this weekend's Game Awards, when Miyamoto and Zelda director Eiji Aonuma showed off the first gameplay footage of the Wii U Zelda.
"Star Fox will arrive before The Legend of Zelda next year, said Miyamoto. "The way it uses the Game Pad is really starting to feel good."
An exact release date for the two games has yet to be confirmed, and it isn't yet clear which half of the year the two games will arrive in either.
