The Star Trek Online studio appears to have been hit with widespread cuts.
Former Perfect World Entertainment PR pointed to the layoffs at the firm's wholly owned subsidiary in a now deleted Tweet, with a response calling the job losses "a slaughter".
Matt Miller, who had been working on Star Trek Online, also tweeted confirming he "got laid off yesterday".
Star Trek Online community manager Captain Smirk has also removed all references to his former role from his Twitter account.
It's not clear if the staff cuts go beyond Cryptic and Star Trek Online. Perfect World Entertainment hasn't commented.
