Papoutsis leaves EA just weeks after the launch of Battlefield Hardline, the studio's first release in the hit shooter series, and after 15 years at the publisher. Prior to Hardline he helped contribute to games in the Dead Space, Army of Two and Lord of the Rings series.
He is to be replaced by Scott Probst, the son of former EA chairman Larry Probst.
