First trailer and screenshots revealed; Miyazaki to direct.
Original director Hidetaka Miyazaki is back to direct development on the third game, with the game set to take players "across a wide variety of locations in an interconnected world of unrelenting challenge and deep RPG gameplay as they search for a way to survive the coming apocalypse".
The first screenshots can be seen through here.
Dark Souls 3 could end up being the last game in the franchise, however, with Bandai Namco describing the title as the "final episode".
